How does Logix Cloud Email Archiving work?
Email Archiving for Customer whose email is Hosted with Logix: When Email archiving is enabled for a user or set of mailboxes, Copy of all mails sent/ received a copy goes to Journal Account. Email archiving system polls the Journal account and archives the mail.
Email Archiving for Customer whose email is not hosted with Logix: We will provide a Journal account ID, you messaging system should support journaling feature, copy of every mail sent / received get pushed to journal account. This Journal Account is polled by the Email Archiving system to archive emails
Features of Logix Email Archival
Archiving: Once Email Archiving is enabled for a user, copy of all mails (Sent / Received) by the user gets archived. User can authenticate using the same mailbox credentials to access Email Archive.
Historical Data Upload: Users older .PST can be imported into the archive by uploading the same it to FTP space provided, Archiving System on scheduled basis imports Historical Data.
Indexing: Using a thorough list of all message components, emails are fully indexed by message content and attachments with the option to add tags for customized searches.
Search and retrieval: The Archive Search tool located in the Web user interface conducts quick full-text searches based on tags or message content. Users can easily search personal email archives, view emails in the archive and forward emails to active mailboxes.
MS Outlook Search Plug-in: User can search & retrieve mails from Archive Store directly from MS Outlook Client by using the Email Archive Plug-in for MS Outlook ( 2k7 onward supported )
Single instance storage: With the use of single instance storage, Logix Email Archival intelligently removes duplicate emails or attachments from a message thread, ensuring only one copy is compressed before storing it in a file system to maximize storage capacity. Mails are stored on highly redundant Storage Area Network (SAN)
PST files import: Scattered PST files stored on users’ desktops or laptops can also be imported. In conjunction with the MAPI email import feature, this allows you to create a comprehensive archive of new and historical emails.
Roles: Using role-based administration, access privileges are organized in two tiers and can be designated to the administrator & end user respectively.
Litigation readiness and discovery process: By using the powerful searching capabilities, auditors and email administrators can easily sort through an email archive to compile relevant messages based on keywords, dates and sender/recipients into an exported file. Access records can be readily compiled and delivered to legal counsel as requested.
Extensive Search: Both Administrator & End User can launch an extensive search via Browser or from MS Outlook on the archived email data. Mails which match the search criteria will be shown up, admin or end user can download mails in .PST or .EML formats.
Retention Period: Email Archiving retention period if set to 7 Years i.e. 2555 Days, User / Admin can retrieve data up to 7 years.
